Orange Creamsicle Terpenes
Orange Creamsicle Strain Profile
Orange Creamsicle is a delightfully flavorful and spot-on rendition of the classic summer treat. The terpene profile features a fair level of complexity and is absolutely loaded with an isolate called Valencene. Naturally derived Valencene is actually one of the most expensive terpene isolates to use so for this reason this profile has a slightly higher price per ML. Valencene and d-Limonene contrast the creamy notes on this blend perfectly to bring a simple-yet-sweet composition that just about everyone can enjoy. The percentage of HDT’s on this blend is a bit lower than usual to let the creamy ice cream pop flavor shine a bit more so expect less of an herbal or skunky aroma on this one.
As always, all terpene and flavor additives should still be used sparingly and given the strength of this one we urge customers to start with just a drop or two per gram when developing your blends. While it may seem backwards, I always emphasize that “less is more” with terpenes. Overuse is not only dangerous but actually reduces the clarity of the flavor as minor “off notes” in the flavor become overbearing and leave the true flavor muddied or muted. For those who think they need to use extra because they are trying to decrease the viscosity of their oil, please consider a natural alternative like C8 MCT or SERVM Natural: Flavorless Terpenes. A small drop or two of these will adjust the viscosity slightly to meet your needs without making the flavor harsh or bitter (see linked products for more information).
